Hi I want to show you this Cotoneaster horizontalis,I styled this tree in 5 years 
I made the tree more compact,it was to long.
I hope you like it to.

it clearly is better than before. Still it's a bit skinny in my opinion, but there are nice foliage pads.

Very nice Ed!  I might change the pot though.  The roots of the tree seem to blend with the pattern on the pot.  Perhaps a bit of a cream glaze pot might be better? Thanks for sharing!

You have made some good changes to this tree and one can see that the ramification is greatly improved. Do uou have any photographs in winter with bare branches?
I could suggest some improvements, I hope you will not think them impertinent: the angle change in the trunk is poor, with little tapper, so I would bring the branches down to distratct the eye; I would then reduce the upper crown in volume a little and place in a more suitable pot with a clockwise rotation about the horizontal axis to increace the lean of the trunk by about 10 degrees.
